1883-7 Apprentice with Leeds Forge Co

1887 In charge of a department for developing special machines and patents

1889 Went into partnership with his brothers as Rhodes Brothers, Leeds

1906 Associate member of I Mech E

1911 Edgar Rhodes 43, engineer and manager Tramway Construction Co, lived in Tadcaster with Gertrude Rhodes 33, Cecil Rhodes 7[2]

1919 Died in Wandsworth[3]
