J. E. V. Winterbourne

1939 J. E. V. Winterbourne Ltd, clock casemakers of Goodwood Works on the North Circular Road in London were purchased by Smiths. Mr. J. E. V. Winterbourne became Smith's chief designer when Smiths took over Winterbourne Mallison (clockcase makers) - creating the Goodwood Works next to Chronos - the later Radiomobile works.

1945 Messrs. J. E. V. Winterbournes clock case factory in Cowcross Street in the city, destroyed by fire.

1951 The company was part of S. Smith and Sons (England)
