'... the Partnership previously subsisting between James Sherwin, Arthur Sherwin, Henry Cotton, and David Sherwin, carrying on business at Vine-street, Hanley in the county of Stafford, as Encaustic Tile Manufacturers, under the style of Sherwin and Cotton, was dissolved on the 31st day of October, 1884. The said partnership business will in future be carried on by the said James Sherwin, Arthur Sherwin, and Henry Cotton, under the said style or firm of Sherwin and Cotton...'[1]
