1880 Company established.
1885 The Manufacturing Goldsmiths and Silversmiths' Company won a gold medal for general exhibit of jewellery and plate
c.1894 Incorporated the Goldsmiths Alliance (see advert)
1898 The company was registered on 27 May, to take over the business carried on under the same title of goldsmiths and silversmiths, diamond and gem merchants, watchmakers etc. [1]
1914 Jewellers, silversmiths, diamond merchants, watch and clock makers. Specialities: diamond and gem jewellery, presentation plate, antique silver, military mess plate and trophies, watches, clocks, chronometers, dressing bags, etc. [2]

1953 Garrard and Co, the Crown Jewellers, were part of the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co until this year[3]
