John Windle Smith (1862-1914)

1862 Born at Gainsborough the son of Edward Smith, an Ironmonger.

1878-1883 Apprenticed at Marshall, Sons and Co, Gainsborough

Moved to Ruston, Proctor and Co

Sent to their agents in Argentina, Messrs M. Forrester and Co

c.1890 Also with Walsh, Lovett and Co, agents for Marshalls in Argentina; joined I Mech E

1896 of Messrs. Thomas Drysdale and Co., 438 Calle Moreno, Buenos Aires, Argentine Republic; joined I Mech E

1912 Joined Freemasons in Croydon. Mechanical Engineer.

1914 Buried at Sutton.
