1891 Founded by William Henry Claus and Alfred Rée with Swiss backing.
Acquired Rexoll, Ltd., of Bradford, Yorks
1905 Acquired the Atlas Works of Brooke, Simpson, and Spiller, making azo dyes.
1906 Incorporated as a Limited Company.
1908 Rée retired; the firm continued as Claus and Co.
1908 Sold the Atlas Works to Bronco Atlas, lavatory paper manufacturers, who operated on this site until 1967.
1916 Acquired by Levinstein.[1]
