1961 Acquired by F. H. Tomkins[1]

1962 Designed and equipped Portugal's first cold-rolled steel-strip mill[2]

1965 Cooper Industries acquired Bromford Iron and Steel Co from F. H. Tomkins[3].

1973 Imported steel from Russia because of shortage of British-made steel[4]
