1888-93 Pupil of Charles C. Lindsay; attended West of Scotland Technical College

1892 Admitted as Student of I.C.E.

Continued to work with Mr Lindsay on various navigation works, particularly on the River Cart.

1895 Associate member of the Inst Civil Engineers[1]

1896 Caledonian Railway

1899 Engineer on construction of Paisley and Barrhead District Railway

1900-04 Resident Engineer New Leith Lines

1904-23 Assistant in Land and Parliamentary work

1923-30 Parl. Asst. to Div. Eng. L.M.S.

1926 Divisional Engineer's Office, L.M.S. Railway, Buchanan St Station, Glasgow

1930 Retired.
