Greenock

1891 The Gulf Line Association Limited was incorporated, with capital of £500,000, for the purpose of acquiring sailing or steam vessels and carrying on the business of shipowners, managers and brokers.[1] The Greenock Steamship Co agreed to take on-half of the subscribed share capital of the company.[2]
