'...the Partnership lately subsisting between us the undersigned, John Pickering the elder, Henry Pickering, Frederick Pickering, and John Pickering the younger, carrying on business as Soap Makers and Tallow Chandlers, at Pershore-street and Bissell-street, Birmingham, under the style or firm of John Pickering and Sons, determined, by effluxion of time, on the 31st day of December last. The said John Pickering the elder retires from, and all debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Henry Pickering, Frederick Pickering, and John Pickering the younger, who will continue the said business at Pershore-street and Bissell-street, Birmingham, under the present style or name of John Pickering, and Sons...'[1]
