1880 Company founded by brothers John Loake, Thomas Loake and William Loake

1894 Moved to new factory in Wood Street and was initially named the Unique Boot Factory. It has a floor area of approximately 20,000 sq ft, accommodates over 300 workers.

1895 Partnership to limited company. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned Thomas Loake, John Loake and William Frederick Loake carrying on business as Boot and Shoe Manufacturers at Kettering under the style or firm of Loake Bros, has been dissolved by mutual consent as and from the 26th day of December 1894. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by Loake Brothers Limited which has acquired the said business and will continue 'to carry on the same....'[1]
