1985 V. L. Churchill was acquired by Sealed Power Corporation of USA, which also purchased some TI subsidiaries outside UK as well as TI's 60 percent holding in Centre-Churchill of Daventry, a joint venture with Celette of France[6]
By 1990 was part of the SPX Corporation, manufacturing special service tools and equipment for the automotive industry[7]
