- J. W. A. Cocksedge his son who had worked for two engineering companies in London joined the company
- 1887 J. S. Cocksedge died
- 1900 new premises in rapier Street
- 1925 The company took limited status
- The company was the maker of the Gerald Gray Patent Self-Slewing Crane and this utilised two small steam engines
