1921 The Company was formed for the purpose of taking up and developing certain patents for the manufacture of castings by the centrifugally cast process. Subsidiary of Glenfield and Kennedy on land in Glasgow leased from Glenfield and Kennedy, Ltd.
1922 Patent granted to James Edgar Hurst of Hadfield, Lancs, and Edmund Bruce Ball of Ayr and the Centrifugal Castings Ltd of Kilmarnock for improvements relating to pouring apparatus for centrifugal casting machines.
1928 Patent granted to Centrifugal Castings Ltd of Kilmarnock, James Edgar Hurst of Thorncliffe Iron Works, Sheffield, and Edmund Bruce Ball of Ayr for improvements relating to machines for extracting pipes, etc from moulds.
