1960 Acquired J. D. Marsden[6] and United Kingdom Tea Co[7]
1962 UK Tea Co acquired 102 Mence Smith stores[8]. Acquired Thrift Stores, which were partly owned by some directors of Wright's Biscuits[9]
1963 Acquired George Barr of Scotland. Acquired John Favers and A. E. Smith and Co (Manchester) from Scribbans-Kemp[10]
