Late 1950s: Jim Nash established a business making screen printing machinery. First premises were in Willesden, then Parsons Green, London. It was later combined with a business established by Alexander de Gelsey making the specialised inks for screen printing and the name Sericol was adopted[1]
c.1961 Sericol Group moved its manufacturing unit to Broadstairs. Headquarters remained in Parsons Green, London.
1968 Acquired by Burmah Speciality Chemicals[2]
1993 Queen's Award for Environmental Achievement[3]
1997-8 Acquisitions and expansion in other countries[4]
2005 Sericol was acquired by Fujifilm; Fujifilm Sericol became a leader in the formulation, manufacture and marketing of premium inks and consumables for the inkjet, screen, and narrow web print markets.
