With his wife Sarah Mills (age 52 born Bury) and their son James Mills (age 32 born Heywood), iron founder; their daughter-in-law Sarah Mills (age 3 born Bury); their daughter Sarah A Mills (age 27 born Heywood); and their grand-daughters Emma Mills (age 2 born Heywood), Elizabeth Mills (age 1 born Heywood). 1880 October 26th. Died, of Moss Cottage, Heywood. His widow Sarah, was to be one of his executors.[4].
