Educated at Finsbury Technical College (City and Guilds of London).

1908 Assistant Engineer, Brush Electrical Engineering Co., Ltd., Loughborough

1911 Chief Assistant Engineer, Folkestone Electricity Supply Co Ltd; living in Folkestone with his wife Gladys; no children[1]

1912 Superintendent in the Power Station Construction Dept. of Yorkshire Electric Power Co.

1919 Construction of Barugh Power Station for utilization of Coke Oven Gas under Boilers.

By 1922 Consulting Engineer, partner in Thorp and Atkinson, of Leeds.

By 1939 was with Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Co. Ltd., Electra House, Victoria Embankment, W.C.2.

c.1956 Died
