Dorman Engineering Co, firstly of Northampton.
1900 January. 'Dorman Engineering Co. are getting a special set of their pattern Whirlwind Cycles and Motors ready for the Local Show'[1]
1901 October. Dorman Engineering Co, Mayorhold and 4 Sheep Street, Northampton.[2]
1902 Produced Whirlwind motorcycles, a few primitive machines that were typical of the era. The engine was hung from the downtube or within the frame. They had belt drive and were of basic construction. Also made D. E. C. engines.
Later, the company built the oil-cooled Bradshaw engines.
Perhaps this company was related to W. H. Dorman and Co, engine manufacturers of Stafford?
