1951 Pye had decided to develop their own cathode ray tubes for television sets; small scale production was done by Cathodeon Ltd a company in the Pye group[1].

1954 New subsidiary of Pye formed (presumably this refers to Cathodeon Electronic) which made about 8% of Pye's needs for television tubes[2].
1961 Vacuum research engineers, manufacturing cathode ray tubes and electric incandescent lighting apparatus, thermionic valves, television and X-ray and other scientific apparatus. 300 employees.
