1905 Company registered as British Automobile Development Co; founded by British Electric Traction Co.

1906 Formed the Amalgamated Motor Bus Co with the purpose of acquiring the rights to operate motor buses in London in several Omnibus Associations, the members of which included many omnibus companies such as London General and Thomas Tilling which would withdraw some horse-drawn services in favour of the motor bus services. The motor buses would be provided by British Automobile Development Co of Loughborough in association with Brush Electrical Engineering Co[2].
1907 Brush had taken a lease of the works of the British Automobile Development Co, which were adjoining Brush's works at Loughborough, and were producing motor omnibuses and every type of commercial motor vehicle[3]. The Brush 35 horse-power petrol omnibus was shown at the 1907 Commercial Motor Show
1907 Began operation of bus services
1912 Name changed to British Automobile Traction Co.
