1866 Married. 'At St. Giles's, Camberwell, Mr. B. E. R. Newlands, F.C.S., youngest son of the late Rev. W. Newlands, M.A., West-square Southwark, to Mary A., eldest daughter of Mr. C. Jenner, De Crespigny-terrace, Denmark-hill, 10th inst.'[1]
1877 B. E. R. Newlands, Esq., F.C.S., manager of Clyde Wharf Sugar Refinery.[2]
1894 Member of the Society of Chemical Industry
1911 Living at 11 Dunsmure Road, Stamford Hill, London: Benjamin Newlands (age 69 born Surrey), Consulting Chemist. With his wife Mary, two daughters and two grandchildren.[3]
