1959 Metal Closures Ltd merged with John Dale Ltd to form Metal Closures Group[1] [2]

1960 Acquired Ideal Capsules Ltd[3], P. A. Permuta (Plastics), Permuta Closures and 75 percent of Martin Supply Co (Westcliffe)[4]

1977 Subsidiary companies included:

  • Metal Closures (Huddersfield) Ltd., Tandem Industrial Estate, Waterloo, Huddersfield.
  • Metal Closures (Port Talbot) Ltd., Henshaw Street, Port Talbot.
  • Metal Closures Extensions Ltd., Barnet Road, London Colney.
  • Metal Closures Extrusions Ltd., Deal Street, Bury.
  • Metal Closures Ltd., Bromford Lane, West Bromwich and Henshaw Street, Port Talbot, West Glamorgan.
  • Metal Closures Thermoplastics Ltd.

1990 Suter owned 29.9 percent and were the first to accept the offer from Wassall[5] when they acquired Metal Closures.
