1954 Edgar Percival started a new company (Edgar Percival Aircraft) at Stapleford Tawney, Essex

He built 21 EP9 aircraft before selling out to Samlesbury Engineering, which was later continued by its subsidiary, the Lancashire Aircraft Co.
