Joseph Reynolds (c1808-1887) of Reynolds and Allen, Gloucester Wagon Co and Gloucester Gas Co

1887 November 04th. Died. 'On November 4th Alderman Joseph Reynolds died after eight weeks’ illness. Mr. Reynolds settled in Gloucester about 30 years ago, and became the head of the firm of Reynolds and Allen, of the City Flour Mills, from which retired about nine years ago. For several years he was Chairman of the Gloucester Wagon Company, and a director of the Gloucestershire Banking Company and the Gloucester Gas Company. He was a magistrate for the city and county. For nearly years he represented the South Ward in the Corporation, and was Mayor in 1869, 1870 and 1880'[1]
