of Marmot Works, Alloa

1905 Sharer and Young Limited was registered as a private company, with capital of £20,000, to carry on business as mechanical, electrical, and consulting engineers.[1]

1908 Manufacture of Marmot paraffin engines.

1912 In December, the company went into voluntary liquidation.[2]

1913 Marmot Works was offered for sale, being described as "lately occupied by Messrs Sharer and Young Limited as Marine Motor Works"[3]
