1815 George Hudson is apprenticed to the widow of the founder William Bell. She is Rebecca nee Nicholson

1821 Hudson is made a partner with Richard Nicholson, the brother of Rebecca. He then marries Richard's daughter Elizabeth and they live above the shop.
