Hall and Kay of Stockport Road, Ashton-under-Lyne were producers of equipment for the cotton industry. Later became air conditioning and ventilation engineers.

1962 Acquired H. Cheetham and Co of Oldham, heating engineers

1963 Acquired Electric House (1955) Ltd of Denton, Manchester, electrical contractors[2]. Hall and Kay would offer a full range of heating, air conditioning and ventilation services, and electrical equipment and wiring, to engineers, architects and surveyors.
