1802 John Redpath and John Brown founded Redpath and Brown, wholesale ironmongers, nail makers and iron merchants in Edinburgh

1846 An iron merchant. Director of Redpath, Brown and Co. Died in Edinburgh. His wife was Elizabeth Redpath. They had had children John Redpath, Thomas Redpath, Hugh Redpath, Wilhelmina Redpath, Mary Redpath, Agnes Griffin, Elizabeth Redpath.
