John Thomas Brockhouse was born in 1879, and educated at West Bromwich Grammar School.
In 1893 he entered the firm of J. Brockhouse, Ltd., and after a period spent in the workshops became Works Manager of the Company. He was subsequently Managing Director and Chairman, and carried through a programme of progressive reorganization and expansion.
He died on 10th April, 1944, at the age of 65. He was elected a Member in 1942.
