formerly Hopkinson Motors and Electric Co Ltd, of Cardiff, makers of small electric motors.

1949 Subsidiary of Radio and Television Trust.

1949 Heavy losses by the parent necessitated the appointment of receiver to Hopkinson Electric Co which company would be sold.

1950 Associated British Engineering took over Hopkinson Electric Co Ltd, manufacturer of small electric motors. Agreed sale to Brush to enable Brush to expand production[1].
