1928 Share Issue. 'Subscriptions will shortly be invited for an issue at par for 178,100 Ord . shares of £1 each and a similar number of Del. shares of 2s. each of the Amalgamated Wallpapers Mills (Ltd). The Company has acquired the entire share capital of Essar (Ltd.), of Tooley Street, Wallpaper manufacturers and importers. The business was established about 40 years ago in the provinces, but in 1922 was transferred to London, and is now one of the largest non-combine firms.'[1]
