of Bedminster, Bristol, producer of specialist printed and coloured bags for loose food packaging in supermarkets and other packaging,

Formed as a joint venture by British Cellophane and E. S. and A. Robinson.

c.1951 A new factory was built at Bedminster.

1954 British Cellophane Limited were negotiating to acquire the remainder of the share capital of Colodense Limited[1] from E. S. and A. Robinson.

1988 A new green-field factory was completed for Colodense at Bristol producing packing for Rowntree Mackintosh one of Colodense’s major clients[2]. Part of Courtaulds Packaging.

1993 Maker of wrappings for top UK chocolate firms such as Mars and Rowntree's, Twix bars, Maltesers, KP nuts and Walls ice cream; sold by owners Courtaulds. [3]

By 1998 was part of Sidlaw Group plc; Sidlaw Packaging Colodense was a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging primarily for the food industry[4]
