1892 Limited Company established to acquire the business of G. S. Corlett of Wigan and Bolton. Five subscribers: G. S. Corlett, Wigan, electrical engineer and colliery owner; J. W. Johnson, Harewood, Roe-lane, Southport, mining engineer; J. Brown, 28, Oxford-road, Birkdale, Lancashire, cotton spinner; W. H. Hewlett, Wigan, coal and iron works manager; T. R. Ellis, The Hollies, Wigan, solicitor.[1]

1893 Edward Winram Dickinson appointed Engineer for mining equipment.

1933 Restructured as Corlett Electrical Engineering Co (1933).
