Doulton Insulators

Presumably connected with Doulton and Co

1938 Acquired the factory of George Skey and Co

1968 Extensions and modernisation of their factory. Produce large porcelain high-voltage weather shields [1]

1974 The Government decided not to refer the proposed merger of Allied Insulators and Doulton Insulators to the Monopolies Commission[2]

1980 The National Enterprise Board sold Fairey Holdings to Doulton, the subsidiary of S. Pearson and Son[3]

1987 Management buy-out of Fairey Holdings from Pearsons[4]

1988 Fairey Group of Heston was incorporated as a public limited company.

1994 on 31st December the business and assets of Doulton Insulators were transferred to Allied Insulators Ltd, a fellow subsidiary of Fairey Group[5]
