1885 'A new iron screw steam vessel, built for the Port Sanitary Committee, by Edwards and Symes, was launched at their works, North Greenwich, The boat, which is 59 feet long and 11 feet beam to accommodate the medical officer and inspectors forward, and has a large cabin aft. She was for the conveyance of sick persons to hospital. built from the designs of Dr. Collingridge, the medical officer of the Port, and Mr. A. D. Lewis, naval architect.'[2]
