1899 A combination of velvet dyers was being organised[1]

1899 Fourteen companies merged to form the English Velvet and Cord Dyers Association. The company was registered on 7 April. [2]

1914 Directors: Directors: Henry Worrall (Chairman), Samuel Brooks (Vice Chairman and Managing Director), Samuel Ashton, Joseph Clare, Samuel Driver, and B. H. Crabtree, Empsall Dyson, Thomas Kenyon and Charles F. Worrall (Managing Directors).

1949 English Velvet and Cord Dyers Association changed its articles of association and its name to English Velvets[4]
