1881 Living at Ellerslie, Milton in Gravesend: George Butchard (age 42 born Liverpool), Engineer, Shipbuilder and Ship Owner employing 120 men and boys. With his wife Mary J. Butchard (age 40 born Scotland) and three daughters and two sons George W. Butchard (age 17 born Gravesend) and John A. Butchard (age 11 born Gravesend.[1]

1882 Elected to ICE

1891 Living at 3 London Road, Northfleet: George W. Butchard (age 27 born Gravesend), Manager Cement Works. With wife Ada and son George.[2]

1939 Living at Westbank, Strood, Kent, Portland Cement Manufacturer. With Ada (wife?), Kathleen and Molly (daughters?).[3]
