  1. The name William Bawn Addis is given on the marriage of Henry in 1861. This is probably the Rev. William Bawn Addis (b.1800 at Winterbourne; married 1827 at Palamcottah, Madras to Susannah Emilia Van Someren and died 1871 Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, India) 'of the London Missionary Society being the 1st Resident Protestant Missionary in the Province of Coimbatore for more than 30 years'. Also noted is his son Charles James Addis, late Assistant Missionary of the London, Missionary Society, Coimbatore, who died at Coonoor on the 3rd March 1891, in the 63rd year of his age.
