1927 Hunter-Penrose Ltd was formed when Hunters Ltd acquired A. W. Penrose and Co Ltd.
1935 Supplier of photo-gravure equipment to Odhams Press[2]. Became a public limited company.
1943 Acquired the printing machinery trade and business of H. Knowles and Co of Liverpool[3]
1946 Acquired the iron foundry business of Joseph Williamson and Co, Midland Foundry, Wellinborough
1947 Dealer in Arc-Gear cameras. Preference share issue to fund expansion of Wellingborough factory[4]
1961 Manufacturers of engraving, electrotyping and printing machinery and apparatus, slitting machinery, original engraved screens and ironfounders. 350 employees.
Presumably acquired Sidney R. Littlejohn
1962 Name changed to Hunter-Penrose-Littlejohn Ltd
1965 Merger with Johnsons of Hendon Ltd to form Johnsons-H.P.L[5]
1969 Name changed to Hunter-Penrose-Littlejohn (Holdings) Ltd
1971 Johnsons-H.P.L was acquired by Hestair
1972 Sidney R. Littlejohn was sold to Forward Technology
1972 Name changed to Hunter-Penrose (Holdings) Ltd
1973 After rationalisation of Johnsons-HPL, Hunter-Penrose (Holdings) was sold to Forward Technology[6]
1984 Winding up of Hunter-Penrose-Littlejohn Ltd
