1891 Living in Wolverhampton, a Gas Engineer Lock. With his wife Mary and their six children.[1]

1904 March 31st. Died in Wolverhampton. Probate to his widow Mary and his sons William Henry Annan and Frederick John Annan.[2]

1904 'Alderman John Annan died during the night at his residence, Hordern Road, Wolverhampton, at an advanced age. He was a native of of Perth, and was appointed second engineer to the Wolverhampton Gas Company over forty years ago, while a little later he become chief engineer and manager to the company. He improved the company’s property, and also the new works for the Burton Gas Company. He served as Mayor of Wolverhampton, and took a deep interest in local matters.'[3]
