1884 The company was registered on 15 February, to take over the business of the firm of the same name, colliery proprietors. [1]

1916 Acquired by Ebbw Vale Steel, Iron and Coal Co[2].

1938 The Six Bells Colliery of John Lancaster and Co and Abertillery were conveyed to Partridge, Jones and John Paton[3].

1947 At nationalisation just over 1,500 men were employed.
