1913 Obituary [1]

JOHN WILLIAM RANDELL, born at Capetown, on the 24th June, 1850, died in London on the 5th January, 1913.

Entering the service of the Gas Light and Coke Co as a draughtsman at Bromley in 1876, he was subsequently transferred to Shoreditch and was appointed Assistant Engineer to that station and Haggerston in 1885. Later in that year he was placed in charge of the two stations and retained that position until 1902, when he was transferred to Fulham, where he remained until his death.

Mr. Randell was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 30th May, 1876.
