North-East England Electricity Scheme
1930 The sixth of the schemes proposed to the Central Electricity Board for linking up the national electricity network.
Six stations were selected for the scheme:[1]
- Carville A and Carville B
- Dunston Power Station
- North Tees Power Station
- Darlington Power Station
- Sunderland
Five further stations were retained on a temporary basis.
