1932 All but 3 of the electricity supply companies in the region were absorbed by the Newcastle-upon-Tyne Electric Supply Co including[1]:

The company name then became North-Eastern Electric Supply Co

1933 Opened Dunston B power station see Dunston Power Station

By the end of the 1930s the electricity supply arrangements for Newcastle were unusual for a large town at the time in that a company (rather than a municipal undertaking) still supplied the electricity.

1948 Nationalised[2]
