1956 The parent company, British Tyre and Rubber Co, changed its name to BTR Industries Ltd following its decision to cease manufacturing rubber tyres.

1957 Palmer Tyre Ltd changed its name to the present one. Part of BTR Industries (see advert)

1961 Products include pneumatic and hydraulic aircraft controls and filters, aero wheels and brakes, aircraft de-icers, "Silvoflex" high-low pressure flexible pipes, "Fluoroflex" (PTFE) and "Palmaflex" (metallic) flexible pipes, "Corroflex" corrugated rigid pipes and fittings, bellows, low tension electrical harness, rubber/silicone extrusions, mouldings and sealing rings, self-inflatable escape slides, X-ray inspection (test house and mobile) service. 380 employees. [1]

1983 Marstons acquired Palmer Aero Products and the name was changed to Marston Palmer Ltd.[2], of Fordhouses, Wolverhampton.

1985 Marston Palmer Ltd. was acquired by IMI [3]

1990 The name was changed to IMI Marston[4]
