"PERCY ROBERT WACE, M.A., who was born in 1901, was educated at the King's School, Canterbury, and Brasenose College, Oxford, where he graduated B.A. with second-class honours in 1924, proceeding later to the degree of M.A.

After two years of practical training with the Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Company, Ltd., he secured an appointment as assistant works manager to Messrs. Brunner, Mond and Company, Ltd., Northwich.

In 1928 he became works general manager with a seat on the board of Messrs. Jenkins Brothers, Ltd., Birkenhead, but left this firm four years later and joined Messrs. British Bedaux, Ltd., subsequently becoming a chief engineer. After holding an appointment as a director of the Washington Chemical and Newall's Insulation Companies at Rochdale, he went to Glasgow and then to Edinburgh, and began a connection with Messrs. Associated Industrial Consultants, Ltd., as chief engineer with responsibility for the supervision of some twenty industrial firms operating in Scotland and the north-east of England.

Subsequently he was elected to the board of directors. Since 1947 he had been in practice on his own account as a consulting engineer in London. Mr. Wace, whose death occurred on 28th October 1950, was elected an Associate Member in 1939 and transferred to Membership in 1943."
