1841 Samuell Woodall 50, boiler maker, lived in Dudley with Jane Woodall 47, Hager Woodall 20, Sarah Woodall 16, Samuel Woodall Junr. 11, Jane Woodall Junr. 8, Elizabeth Woodall 4[2]

1842 Samuel Woodall of New Buffery was recorded as iron boat builder and boiler maker[3]. At the same date, Joseph Woodall of Bumble Hole was a boiler maker and an iron boat builder; Thomas Woodall of Netherton was a boiler maker.

1851 Samuel Woodall 62, boiler maker, lived in Dudley with Jane Woodall 58, Samuel Woodall 20, Jane Woodall 18, and a visitor Hannah Hadley 22[4]

1889 John Thompson purchased the works at Dudley of the late Samuel Woodall for the manufacture of steel chimneys, water softeners, and general structural and steel works plant.

Note: Samuel Woodall Sr. was the father of Solomon Woodall. There was also a Samuel Woodall Jr. See Windmill End Works, Dudley.
