1961 W. G. Pye and Co and Unicam, both members of the Pye Group, opened a new Scientific Instrument Centre in Cambridge[2]

1968 W. G. Pye and Co and Unicam Instruments were merged to become Pye Unicam; Philips scientific division from Mullard was also put into the new company[3]
