1961 Vactric (Control Equipment) Ltd was acquired by the News of the World Organisation from the Vactric group which was in liquidation [1]

1963 Moved to new, larger factory at Morden[2]

1964 Acquired UK rights to manufacture Norden aircraft encoders[3]. Acquired A. P. Besson and Partner maker of microphones, earpieces, transformers, electro-mechanical and industrial equipment[4]

1966 Losses due to cancellation of TSR.2 and P.1154 aircraft[5]

1969 News of the World Organisation sold Vactric Control Equipment to Rotax[6]

1972 Acquired by Muirhead[7]

1976 Name changed to Muirhead Vactric Components Ltd

1982 Maker of Europe's widest range of servo-motors, encoders, etc used in control systems for ships and aircraft[8]

1999 Name changed to Muirhead Aerospace Ltd (of Leicester)
